Quick Fire 0.2.4 Released
Took quite a hiatus from development, but here is another update! It's a decent one, with a new map, new player models, and some improvements and notable bug fixes.
Note that all browser data (settings, loadouts, etc.) will not carry over into 0.2.4
ADDENDUM: 0.2.4-1 has been released, fixing a bug with other players looking around, fixing default settings, and adding fullscreen and resolution option.
CONTENT
Added a new map, "Scorched", featuring an un-exploded missile in the centre and many areas to move around and hide in. Excluding Target Practice, it's the largest map in the game.
Improved Target Practice with a new "display" area, and a proper firing range where you can see how far you are from a target dummy.
BALANCING
Heavy Class - 35% > 30% reduced movement speed
Double Barrel Shotgun - Slightly pushes the player back when firing, 10 > 6 reserve ammo. Reloading is now done 2 bullets at a time.
Flamejet - 0.2 > 0.25 fire rate, 0.1 > 0.05 spread 30 > 25 projectile speed, 0.8 > 1.1 projectile lifetime, -20% ammo, 1.5 > 1.75 alt fire rate multiplier 2 > 3.5 alt spread multiplier
Long Blade - 1.25 > 1 weight
Melee weapons now have some slight leniency, so that it is a little bit easier to hit a target.
GAMEPLAY / FEEDBACK
The crosshair now scale with distance. It also changes appearance when you are targeting a solid object.
Automatic weapons will get higher and higher pitched as their magazine empties.
Changed the player model, which has changed the overall area of the player, and made it easier to hit the head. The player also has hands that hold onto weapons.
VISUAL
Made a map icon for Target Practice.
Made reload animations for the Double Barrel Shotgun, and gave the Rocket Launcher and Rocket Jumper firing + reload animations.
BUGFIXES
Other players' weapons should now be visible as soon as you join a room.
Fixed an issue where pressing the leave room button would not actually leave the room, leading to issues when joining / creating rooms.
(Hopefully) Fixed a WebGL (browser) crash.
Hopefully I've recorded pretty much every important change here. As always, I hope everyone enjoys playing and is happy with these changes.
