Quick Fire 0.2.3 Released


After a bit of work, 0.2.3 is here! It comes with a ton of changes to improve the experience:

BALANCING

You are slowed down by 40% when encumbered (having too much weight), and are slowed down by an extra 25% per point encumbered

Light Class - Can now double jump, 1.2 > 1.15 speed, 3.25 > 3 carry capacity

Sniper - 0.0035 > 0.003 spread, 60 > 50 damage, 1.2 > 1 attack rate, 1.75 > 2 weakpoint damage bonus

Soulstealer Crossbow - 25 > 35 projectile speed, 0.05 > 0.035 projectile drag

Oppressor - 100 > 80 clip size, 0.2 > 0.3 projectile drag

Assault Rifle - 1 > 1.5 weight, 20 > 10 damage, 0.275 > 0.075 attack rate, 0.01 > 0.02 spread, 16 > 15 held ammo, 48 > 60 reserve ammo, 2.5s > 3s reload time

GAMEPLAY

There is now a display for kills, so you can know whether or not you were the one to kill someone.

Loadouts can now be edited while in a match, so you can switch classes and items without having to leave the game and then re-join.

Gave all maps a visual and functional tweak. All walls and roofs are twice as thin, both visually and physically. Some slopes should work slightly better.

Tweaked some maps to add new areas, and block some ridiculous sight lines.

VISUAL

Improved settings UI significantly, and made many minor adjustments to improve the look of certain UI elements.

Improved the health pickup effect to be a particle, instead of a single sprite.

Added post-processing, which includes anti-aliasing and ambient occlusion to make some spaces easier to understand.

Made a model for the Rocket Jumper.

WORK IN PROGRESS

Working on the Robot Invasion gamemode, and the map "Gear Ville". These should come out with the release of 0.3


Hopefully this is everything, but i'm sure there are tons of smaller details i haven't mentioned here!
