Cataclysm 0.4.0 - The Landmarks Update

The Landmarks Update is finally here after a few months! It contains tons and tons of changes to the game, including landmarks, items, recoil, QoL features, sprite and model updates, and a whole brand new center missile silo (W.I.P)

New Landmarks and Landmark Adjustments

New Houses

Houses have been given a completely new look, to look alot nicer.

Warehouses

These large structures hold plenty of good loot in them ripe for the taking! Be careful though, as they are protected by something...

New Missile Silo

The missile silo is much, much larger than it used to be - and also contains an actual missile. A complex lies underground to be discovered... (WIP)

New Tents

These tents contain much the same things as before, but are larger and have some details in them.

Small Mining Well

Admittedly, a little strange-looking, but interesting nonetheless. Contains a small amount of loot.

Cargo Ship Adjustments

The Cargo ship has had some notable changes. What differences can you spot?

Loot Rework

The whole way that loot works has been changed, and as such hopefully loot should be slightly more interesting, or at least more fitting to the areas it is found in.

UI Improvements

Oh so many! Tons of UI has been touched-up, making it more consistent overall, and adding some important features, such as emblems showing in chat, being able to scroll through chat, and also big changes to the settings menu.

New Logo and Menu Diorama

This one speaks for itself.

Weapon Recoil System

Weapons now have proper recoil, as well as jolting back when shot. Hopefully this adds some nice responsiveness and skill (at least a little bit) to the weapons.

Resource Hit Effects

Each resource now has unique hit effects to differentiate it from another type

Improvised Explosive

This really packs a punch! This is an ideal tool for dealing damage to structures.

New Audio

There have been several audio changes, especially for the flare gun and shotgun. Footstep sounds have also been added so you can hear other people approaching! Ambient tracks will occasionally play, too.
